My Digital Studio!!

I am SOOO excited to tell you about Stampin Up!'s newest product coming out -- called "My Digital Studio"! Most of you know i a digi scrapper -for about 3 years now, so i have been eyeing this, believe me!! It's a computer program that lets you scrap digitally, create photobooks, cards, and calendars!! This program is both user friendly for newbies, but great for more experienced computer people. It contains TONS of SU stamp sets digitaly, as well as their papers, cardstock, embellishments and scrap kits!! There are over 2,000 images on these DVD's!!

However, it gets better! Do you already have a favorite program on your computer such as Photoshop Elements? Well, SU will also have separate individual files that you can purchase thru my online store, and download onto your computer to use in the most popular photo programs!!! How cool is that?! I will be explaining more about this product in future posts.. If you want to be one of the first "in the know" then subscribe to my blog - or shoot me an email, at smvenancio@yahoo.com and i will put you on my email list!

My Digital Studio will be available on Oct. 1, but one of the perks of being a demo is getting wonderful products like this a month earlier than the public!! So, guess what i have been doing all day?!

As you can tell from the following layouts, i am trying to catch up on my Disney trip from August. Hope you enjoy them!!!

Fairytales do come true....

Today, i am going to show you a lil' tutorial on how to use a Stamp a Ma Jig.. This is a great way to line up any image to where you want it to be specifically.
I am working on my sister's wedding invitations, today i am doing the envelopes. Now, i want the wording to be lined up perfectly on these.
Here is what i used: The envelopes are SU's 5x5 whisper white. The stamp set is "Once Upon A Time" #113746 (19.95). And i am using Melon Mambo ink.
My sister's wedding colors are Pink (like Melon Mambo), Black and White.. And she is having a "Disney Fairy Tale Wedding" - she is getting married at the Grand Floridian at Disney's wedding pavilion in March 2010. I am SOOOO EXCITED!! Ok, back to the tutorial..

First, you will notice that the Stamp A MA Jig has a clear plexi piece that goes with it -- you need to flip it over to have the rough side facing you.. then line it up to the bottom edge corner as shown of the SAMJ .
Next, you will stamp your image (with your ink) on the rough side of the plexi-plastic stuff... (see below)

This is your guide.. so take that plastic piece, and put it exactly where you want it to go on your envelope.. Then, line up your SAMJ . (to the corner - same as how you stamped)

Now, remove the plastic, and KEEP THE SAMJ WHERE IT IS!!! While it is still in position, line your stamp up to where you took the plastic from , and when you have it set - remove your SAMJ.

And STAMP! :)

There you have it!!!! IT's a wonderful tool!!
Now, to finish my envelope, i am going to show you how i embossed it. I got my new toy in yesterday - the Sizzix bigshot! I love it!!!
So, i used the SU Elegant Bouquet folder, you just follow the directions, with layering it into the machine, and run it thru...

And there we have it!!!! A pretty (if i do say so!) embossed wedding envelope!!

Good Friend

Ahhh... Good friends. Don't you just love 'em ? This card today is a tribute to all good friends in our lives.. I got this color combo idea out of our demonstrator only monthly magazine - "Stampin' Success" which we receive each month that is full of ideas and creativity, ask me more about this if you become a part of my team! It's something i regularly stalk my mailbox for at the end of each month. :)
Anyway, for my card, i used Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, and Old Olive - all out of the Earth Elements color family.

I stamped my image from the "Good Friend set" as seen below, using the Not Quite Navy for the bird's body, the Ruby Red for his beak, and the Old Olive for his legs. I lined up all my stamps using my "Stamp a ma jig" - see pic below - This tool ROCKS for getting your image to line up! I will post a tutorial tomorrow on using this wonderful lil' tool! I will also be using this in my September workshops/classes, so if you want first hand touchie/feelie use of this, then book your workshop today, or sign up for one of my classes - you can view my list at :

Feel's Like Fall!

Well, this weather has it feelin' like fall here in the New England area - We have traded 90 degrees for 73... and no humidity. While everyone who knows me, knows how much i enjoy the summer, and hate the winter, what you may not know is - i love the fall. I absolutely love Halloween, the decor, the spookiness, the candy.. LOL Love it all.. But, i also love the apple crisp, the decorated pumpkins, the hayrides, the changing leaves... and more. Ok, while it may not be fall yet, the weather today and yesterday just has me thinking fall. So, i have a couple projects to share with you.

First, we have a "Wiper Card" technique -

This technique actually came to me via Splitcoast Stampers. They have a great tutorial on it HERE. Basically, when you pull on the card, you get that little leaf (or whatever stamped image you use) to pop up as a surprise.. then it tucks back inside the card. Very cool!! I colored in the stamped image using blender pens and the ink from the lids of the ink pads.

Supplies used on the above card are:
#100946 More Mustard cardstock (from Earth Elements) $5.50
#115321 Dusty Durango cardstock (from the In Colors) $5.50
#115318 Soft Suede Cardstock (from the In Colors) $5.50
#115612 Soft Suede dotted ribbon 9.95
#115609 Dusty Durango dotted ribbon $9.95
#101341 Close To Cocoa cardstock (from Earth Elements) $5.50
#101650 Very Vanilla Cardstock $7.50 (40 sheets)
#110372 Autumn Harvest Stamp Set (pg. 26 of the IBC) $17.95

#102845 Blender Pens $9.95

Also, here is a sneek peek of a new roll out of the Fall/Winter Holiday Mini!!! I LOVE this new roll - Haunting Hill, so many great ideas for this!! If you need a Holiday mini catalog - please email me at smvenancio@yahoo.com and i can get one out for you! This will "go live" on 9/1 for everyone to see online also!
