Feel's Like Fall!

Well, this weather has it feelin' like fall here in the New England area - We have traded 90 degrees for 73... and no humidity. While everyone who knows me, knows how much i enjoy the summer, and hate the winter, what you may not know is - i love the fall. I absolutely love Halloween, the decor, the spookiness, the candy.. LOL Love it all.. But, i also love the apple crisp, the decorated pumpkins, the hayrides, the changing leaves... and more. Ok, while it may not be fall yet, the weather today and yesterday just has me thinking fall. So, i have a couple projects to share with you.

First, we have a "Wiper Card" technique -

This technique actually came to me via Splitcoast Stampers. They have a great tutorial on it HERE. Basically, when you pull on the card, you get that little leaf (or whatever stamped image you use) to pop up as a surprise.. then it tucks back inside the card. Very cool!! I colored in the stamped image using blender pens and the ink from the lids of the ink pads.

Supplies used on the above card are:
#100946 More Mustard cardstock (from Earth Elements) $5.50
#115321 Dusty Durango cardstock (from the In Colors) $5.50
#115318 Soft Suede Cardstock (from the In Colors) $5.50
#115612 Soft Suede dotted ribbon 9.95
#115609 Dusty Durango dotted ribbon $9.95
#101341 Close To Cocoa cardstock (from Earth Elements) $5.50
#101650 Very Vanilla Cardstock $7.50 (40 sheets)
#110372 Autumn Harvest Stamp Set (pg. 26 of the IBC) $17.95

#102845 Blender Pens $9.95

Also, here is a sneek peek of a new roll out of the Fall/Winter Holiday Mini!!! I LOVE this new roll - Haunting Hill, so many great ideas for this!! If you need a Holiday mini catalog - please email me at smvenancio@yahoo.com and i can get one out for you! This will "go live" on 9/1 for everyone to see online also!

Have a great friday!!!

  2. I haven't ever tried a wiper card either Stacy. I can see lots of possibilities with this for Halloween cards (ghost pops up, or whitch). Great idea, and your watercoloring is very good. Way to go girl!
