Important news for today!

I know i have posted early this a.m., but with it being Memorial Day weekend, i thought a second post for the day with some great blogs to visit was warranted! LOL
Cards for Heros is doing a bloghop today! There are over 100 different blogs participating, so, grab a cup of coffee (or two, or three....lol) and start hopping!
www.cardsforheros.org

I have spent some time reading over this site, and i am sooo impressed!! This is definately something i would love to get involved with, so i will be scheduling something on my summer calendar to participate for sure!
Ok, lots to show you today! First, i wanted to show you this unbelievably cute lil' calendar that my upline, Kimberly made for me! It is sort of a tent - fold idea, with 3 calendar months showing on each side - then you simply flip it over for the next 3 months, and there you have it!! I just think it's too cute! And i have it sitting here on my desk, Thanks Kimberly!!
Now, back onto the Simply Scrappin' Kit - Hoppy Memories. I completed 3 layouts here - first i did (2) 8 1/2 x 11" layouts, from our recent trip to Disney in March. There is no stamping in these, it is strictly product from the Simply Scrappin' kit.

Then, i also did a 12x12" layout to go in my daughter's regular album. I just love all the projects i was able to squeeze out of ONE kit!!! I can't wait to see what new ones will come out in July!

There you have it! I hope you all have a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend! We will be doing some grilling for sure! LOL

Stillll workin' on that SS kit!!!

Can you believe, i am STILL workin' off that same Simply Scrappin' kit that i made the 20 page album out of?? Remember, i told you that i used half the kit for the album, well, today i made more projects from the other 1/2 of the kit - here are a few...
First, i made 2 cards - one general "hello", and the other is a #1 teacher card.
Next, i made a framed art piece, using a pic i had of a Tiki Statue that was at the Polynesian hotel at Disney World that we stayed at - i wanted to mat it and embellish it a bit.. It's in an 8x10 frame.
Tomorrow, i will share the scrapbook layouts i did with this kit! Yup, i ALSO made 3 scrapbook layouts too! You will just have to wait til tomorrow to see those!
So,let's recap - out of this one Simply Scrappin' Kit, (for $19.95), i have made so far:
(1) 6x6" 20 page album (see below)
(2) cards
(1) framed pic embellished
(3) scrapbook layouts ( (2) 8 1/2"x11 and (1) 12x12" layouts)
I will post those tomorrow - along with whatever else i can come up with using the rest of my scraps!! LOL All i can say is WOW. I never thought i could make so much out of one kit!!! These are FAB! Can't wait to see the new ones in july!!
Have a good night!

20 page 6x6 album for $10 and 60 minutes!!

Well, i promised you the other day i would post the album i made the other night - and here it is! Now, This album is a 6x6 size, made from only 1/2 (yup, 1/2!) of a Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin Kit - the kit i used is "Hoppy Memories" (# 113936) the Simply Scrappin' kits can be found on page 162 in your Idea Book and Catalog.
Here is what i did to make this easy -- i took my SS kit, and divided up everything (so, i started off with 4 sheets of textured 12x12 cardstock, 3 sheets of Designer paper, and 3 sheets of cardstock stickers), I then cut all my CARDSTOCK into 4 6x6 pieces per 12x12 page. Put those aside, then, i took my designer paper, and cut all of those 12x12 sheets in 1/2. I then took 2 of those 1/2's and cut them into half (to make 4 6x6" pages) and there are your 20 6x6 background pages!
I then just started to embellish each page as i saw fit with my stickers and leftover designer papers, being careful to keep it simple. You can always go back and add more stickers later!!
Now, after you are done, you will still have 1/2 of the simply scrappin' kit left!!!! Enough for a whole second 6x6 20 page album, or several 12x12 layouts, or lots of cards!! I honestly haven't decided on what i am going to use mine for yet! I will definately keep you posted when i do! Enjoy the pics!!
